Horde PVE : Troll
Berserking:Verypowerful active racial ability.
For Elemental, Troll is by far thebest choice, Berserkeris justtoo powerful. That being said, it’s not a huge disadvantage if you want to pickanother race. Orcs don’t really get anything for Elemental, and Taurens areonly a bit tankier thanks to Endurance.
Berserkeris a very powerful 3 min CD,giving at least 10% haste, up to 30% when your Health becomes very low. Carefulwith how much mana you spend though!

4. PvE Spell rotation for Elemental Shamans
The Elemental Shaman rotation isquite simple; just keep an eye on your mana. You will need to use mana potionsand runes properly.
During fights, you want to keep yourtotems up as much as you can.
In Single-target, you want to keep Totem incendiaire up aswell as Horion de flammes. After these 2 spells are used, spam Eclair.
In Multi-target situations, use Totem de Magma andChaîne d'éclairs(youstill want to useHorion de flammes)
Totems:
Shamans’ main unique trait is theirability to deploy totems. You can have one totem of each element up at the sametime (earth, fire, water, air). Elemental Shamans’ fire totem is used for theirown DPS, but not the other ones. You must therefore adapt to your raid’s needs.While some totems would benefit you more than others, making your raid strongeris more important.
Melee DPS need Totem Furie-des-ventsandTotem de Force de la Terretobe up. Casters want Totem de Tranquillité de l'airandTotem Fontaine de mana,cloth classes particularly appreciate that last totem.

During intense fights, as anexperienced shaman, you can try to maintain several buffs given by the sametotem type. For example, you can drop a Totem Furie-des-ventswhich will buffyour raid’s weapons for 10 seconds, and immediately replace it with Totem de Grâce aérienne.That way, your players will also benefit from the agility bonus from thatsecond totem. You can keep switching back & forth to maintain additionalbuffs on the raid.This is known as “totem twisting”.

Elemental Shamans’ stat priority isa typical caster one. There are however a few differences, because you’re usingdifferent gear: leather until level 40, then mail.
This means they share their armortype with Hunters, who often need gear that has both agility and intelligence.Agility is great for Enhancement, but pretty useless for Elemental.

1. Burst Macro

If you’re using an active trinket(from the list below), you want to use this macro as often as you can tomaximize your DPS.

This macro allows you to cast spellsat enemies without having to look for a target, giving you an edge to do competitive dps.
In the example above,we use Horion de terre, interrupting anenemy’s cast, but this macro can be used with others spells. This allows you tocast a spell even if you’re targeting an ally, as long as this ally istargeting an enemy. It also works if you’re just targeting an enemy normally

Consumablesare extremely important in Classic WoW, especially in the beginning or when anew raid is released. Alchemy and Cooking bring a lot of value to a raid; werecommend you follow our guides to level these professions.
