Setting Up Preloaded
- The option to launch Preloaded is in Setting from the App Installer.
Am I missing sprites to run Preloaded?
The App will let you know! When you click on the checkbox, it will tell you if you are missing any sprites!
When you try installing the Preloaded sprites, it will also let you know if you can select a different sprite installation menu option that is quicker to install vs installing EVERYTHING.
Do I need to change anything in the game?
Yes, you need to turn off a setting to properly run Preloaded.
If you create a new save file, make sure to turn off this setting as well.
Sprite Information
Do You Need Sprites?
- No. By default the game will install sprites and all new monthly sprites on its own. This is done as you encounter Pokemon.
What is Preloaded?
- Preloaded should ONLY be used if your computer cannot handle Game.exe or you want to play offline.
- This makes the game take a long time to open to get better in-game performance since it preloads ALL sprites from your local computer vs getting them from the internet.
- You must install all ~4gb (310k+ Sprites) using the App Installer for this to work.
What are the sprite options for then?
- Performance Improvements. The more sprites you have, the less time your game is downloading them from the internet, creating folders on your computer, and moving thousands of sprites to those folders.
